Phoenix Ski Area - December 2018

Attention adventure seekers of the Boundary!

The 2018/19 season at Phoenix is ramping up to be a good one. The conditions are marginal, but with the recent snowfall and all the brush that was cleared, the coverage is pretty good and the hill is open for the public to enjoy.

There is a new run at Phoenix!  Yes, a new run is freshly cut on the skiers-right of Montezuma. The new run will add terrain to our Ski Boundary, giving you more opportunity to ski and board at Phoenix.

Phoenix Ski Area – “the wall” on Lizard

In past seasons, an area near the top of Lizard was opened up and is now curing nicely.  A groomer pass leads down a gentle rolling slope which brings you down and around, back onto Lizard just above the “wall”.

It’s our 50th anniversary and we’re collecting Phoenix memorabilia. We want to collect pictures and relics from the area to decorate the lodge, add to our website gallery, and use in our marketing materials.  Please send your photos and/or contact information to skiphoenix@gmail.com and we can cover any details.

Phoenix Ski Area, Ticket SalesThe lodge is looking great!  The new menu is posted and the food is delicious. Be sure to see the paintings by Leta, showcasing the beauty of Phoenix Ski Area. There are several hanging upstairs and large murals downstairs. There is a water cooler upstairs by the front door that provides hot and cold water, so you can enjoy a hot drink or a quick refreshment. For an even healthier environment, bring your own recyclable container.
